Wedding Favours are believed to have started in Italy where they area also known as Bombonier. It is traditional to give a small gift or favour to each guest. These favours are normally presented in an ornate favour box or favour tulle rounds. Inside each wedding favours are traditionally 5 sweets, usually sugared almonds, dragees or chocolates. Each sugared almond, dragee or chocolate represents something different, health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life. Sugared Almonds dragees are supplied in sealed boxes with a "best before date". Sugared almonds come in large range of colours including Gold Almonds and Silver Almonds. Sugared Dragees are like sugared almonds except with a chocolate centre.
