Ribbon For Serviettes

Which is the best ribbon to use for serviettes is a query we get very often.

The most common types are <a href="../cat/57/chiffon-ribbon-and-wired-organza-ribbon" title="Chiffon ribbon ">chiffon or <a href="../cat/58/satin-ribbon" title="satin ribbon ">satin ribbon. Personnally I think that 25 mm is the best width, although 40 mm is also used. Most caterers recommend that you use 70 mm minimum for each serviette. This will give you a very nice bow which should be easy to tie.

Some brides go for wired ribbon, thinking that is will give a better bow. All unwired chiffon or satin has a natural spring, quite sufficient for good bow loops that will hold thier shape. It is also cheaper and gives a better colour range.

There is lot more help with buying ribbon on the web site at our <a href="../ribbons.asp" title="Ribbon information page ">Ribbon Help Page.

Let me know if I can be any more help. Good Luck.

John

Dear Nicola,

I"m afraid we can"t do samples of the metallic confetti as it comes in pre-sealed packs, which are sold at very reasonable prices.

The quantity required depends on several factors. The size of the tables, whether you are using them all over or just around the centers of each table and also whether or not you are using other decorative items on your tables, obviously you would need less if you are using other items as well.

Generally, if you are just using it in the center, one pack would do about 3/4 tables but like i said the exact quantity required will vary as each personal preference is different.

Regards

Kirsty

Dear Sue,

Hair springs are a diamante with a wire spiral coming from it, you place the spring against your hair and twist so the spiral twists into the hair, leaving just the diamante on show. These generally work better if your hair is tied up as they will stay in easier.

We do have several tiaras with pearl designs, or we do stock plain slides and combs if you wanted to create your own hair piece. We have several pearl picks which could also be used for this.

See the links below for ideas:

Head Combs

Pearl Picks

Loose Beads

If you would like any more information on techniques for creating your own hair accessories then please feel free to get back to us.

Regards

Kirsty
