Dear Julie,
Depending what you are doing with it, a 10" will sit nicely on the head, the 12" may fit over the head, but its tight so it may not fit over everyone's head.
I'm sorry this is not a clear answer, all i can suggest is getting some in and having a go, you are always welcome to return if they are no good.
